Thank you to all who supported the fund raising raffle at Ohio LinuxFest 2017. As a raffle sales person I was amazed at the generosity of most of the attendees. The prize sponsors and volunteers also made it happen. A variety of great runner up prizes were donated by Open NMS, Fusion Storm, System 76, IX Systems, LPI exam vouchers, and Linux Foundation Online Tutorials. THANK YOU!

The grand prize, (retails for $1,250 dollars) was a 3d printer, and a reel of printer material, donated by Aleph Objects, Inc., makers of the LulzBot Mini 3D printer. https://www.lulzbot.com/

Congratulations to Kevin O’Brien for winning the printer. Kevin is a project manager with Ford Motor Credit Company who lives in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He knew just what he wanted to do with it. The 3d printer was donated to a non-profit who specializes in making prosthetic hands, limbs for children who need them. Attached is a photo of Kevin, donating the LulzBot Mini to Daniel Dugan, representing http://e-nable.org/ https://youtu.be/XQ8tPOqN7WE

Daniel has since sent this message: “Took the Lulzbot through it’s paces. It is a wonderful machine! The best I have ever owned. First recipient is here in Ann Arbor. Brand new partial hand test. Thank you very much.” What goes around comes around. Thank you Kevin and everyone for spreading the kindness and good will of the FOSS and tech community.
