On Friday night at 8:00pm, one of our birds-of-a-feather sessions will cover Google Summer of Code (GSoC), a program which pays students a stipend during the summer to work on a free software project. Swati Lodha, a two-year GSoC participant working on digiKam with the KDE project, will share her experience. She will discuss some valuable background knowledge to have, how to prepare a strong proposal, and working effectively with your project mentor.
It’s a perfect companion to the Get Your Feet Wet in Open Source workshop on Saturday!
